Wedding Terms and Conditions

Deposits & Payments
A deposit of £350, which is non-refundable, is required within 14 days of a provisional booking being made.  The balance of the account must be settled no later than two weeks before your reception at which point we need the precise final number of guests attending your reception. These numbers then become the minimum chargeable, or 90% of the original number given, whichever is larger. A reduction in numbers of more than 10% of the original numbers given may result in the reception being relocated to a room of a more appropriate size.
It is agreed that any food, drink or services not mentioned in the contract but asked for at the hotel will be paid when the bill for such items is presented.

Cancellations
There is no charge if you find it necessary to cancel the function more than six months before the event, if we are successful in re-letting the room for a similar function. Otherwise, a charge of 25% of the estimated total of room hire and pre-booked food and beverage will be made.  If it is cancelled between three months and six months in advance, there is a charge of 50% of the estimated account.  If it’s cancelled three months or less in advance, there is a 100% cancellation charge of the estimated account.
Cancellations must be made in writing to the hotel and will only be deemed to take effect from the date received at the hotel. Postponement of the wedding will be treated as a cancellation and the same Terms and Conditions will apply.
We have to retain the right to cancel the booking without obligation in the very unlikely event of fire, disputes with employees, alterations or decorations that are not finished on time, or by the order of any public authority.

General
Fire Precautions:  In the unlikely event of a fire, the guests will use the fire exits to which they are directed.  The hotel will provide you with floor plans of the areas you’ll be using, if required.
Any materials, mechanical or electrical equipment brought in by you, or at your request, must be brought to the attention of the hotel in writing.  You will need the hotel’s consent before they can be brought in and they must comply with all the current relevant regulations.  In the unlikely event of any problem, you will be liable for damage or injury arising from the use of the equipment, unless it has been caused by the negligence of the hotel’s employees.
We regret that we cannot be held responsible for the security of your property, though obviously we will do all we can to look after it.  Because of fire regulations, you can’t let off any incendiary or explosive device in the hotel or it’s grounds.
For future dates other than those covered by our current menus, we can provide guideline prices so that you can plan accordingly. Prices are subject to change in exceptional circumstances e.g. a change in the rate of VAT.
If you do not have a buffet on the evening this will incur a room hire charge of £750.00
You will be held responsible for the cost of any damage and all repairs occasioned as a direct or indirect result of such damage to any part of the Hotel premises or equipment caused by any person invited by you or on your behalf to the hotel.
I hereby acknowledge and agree to accept the above terms and conditions and the contracted numbers on the attached booking form.
